Originally forming part of an outline planning permission for a budget hotel, the sites use was repurposed for a care home and the opportunity presented to the market. After a successful marketing campaign, a specialist developer was selected and a subject to planning deal was entered into.
Planning permission was achieved in late 2019, the developer has secured an occupier, and development will begin during 2021. This completes a satisfying re-use of agricultural land as part of a much larger mixed use scheme which includes a supermarket, retail units and a c.200 residential scheme.
