Charman's

Summary

  • 94 Residential Units
  • 6.37 Hectares
  • 30% Affordable Housing
  • 40% of site is allocated to green space

Landlink recently secured planning consent for 94 homes on this site. The site presents specific design challenges that have been considered and addressed with several unique opportunities used to design a landscape-led housing development.

Existing trees and hedgerows of landscape value have been retained and safeguarded within public open space. Site low points are used for sustainable drainage and a historic canal route to the north of the site will be preserved and enhanced as part of the development.

The design creates a sustainable, balanced residential community based on a hierarchy of characterful streets. With outward facing residential frontages which overlook landscaped public open space.
